Desired Skills and ExperienceMinimum of 5 years of installation/testing experience, with capabilities of a Lead Tester. Fujitsu Flashwave 9500 certification for testing and activation preferred. Comprehensive technical knowledge of Telcordia GR-1275 standards. Proven ability to work independently in the field, thriving in a fast-paced environment; self-motivated with strong organizational skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. A positive, customer-focused attitude, capable of handling challenges with integrity and empathy. Must possess a valid state driver’s license. Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, along with a criminal background check. Extensive travel throughout Kentucky is required.

Join our dynamic EF&I team as a Lead Field Technician IV/Tester, where you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional telecommunications services throughout Kentucky. This position involves extensive travel across the state, providing you with diverse experiences and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, activate, and test the Fujitsu Flashwave 9500 (experience required).
  • Travel to various customer locations.
  • Conduct tests on multiple signaling platforms including PBX, DS-0 through DS-3, and OC-3 to DWDM.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, addressing escalations and concerns professionally.
  • Lead and mentor test teams, guiding junior testers and technicians to achieve project objectives.
  • Manage inventory of job-related materials and assist with inventory control as necessary.
  • Perform power verification and acceptance checks to ensure equipment meets specifications.
  • Identify and troubleshoot faults to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure timely service delivery, adherence to quality standards, and project deadlines.
  • Prepare detailed test reports and analysis documents, making necessary revisions.
  • Work with engineering drawings and rack layout diagrams.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
