This pivotal role demands the ability to establish structure, clarity, and control throughout the processes of intake, prioritization, and execution. The ideal candidate will possess the independence to maintain cohesion in the model without relying on external direction.
This position transcends mere coordination; it is fundamentally an ownership role. The perfect candidate will demonstrate robust product ownership discipline coupled with a comprehensive hands-on understanding of the Salesforce platform, enabling them to make astute decisions in technically intricate scenarios, challenge unclear requirements as needed, and propel delivery progress actively.
Core Responsibilities:
Roadmap and Strategy
• Define and sustain a transparent Salesforce roadmap that aligns seamlessly with business priorities and the evolution of the platform.
• Convert strategic requirements into structured initiatives rather than treating them as standalone requests.
• Strategically plan and structure the onboarding of new business units or acquisitions into the Salesforce ecosystem, outlining methods for integrating new teams, data, and processes into the current setup.
Backlog and Intake Management
• Take complete ownership and actively drive the CRM backlog from inception to completion.
• Implement structured intake processes, ensuring that all requests are adequately scoped and documented prior to their entry into the backlog.
• Interpret and scrutinize business needs, pushing back when requirements are ambiguous, create unnecessary complexity, or clash with best practices for the platform.
Prioritization and Stakeholder Management
• Spearhead prioritization across a multifaceted global stakeholder landscape with competing demands.
• Employ consistent prioritization logic under pressure, balancing business value, technical risks, and platform health.
• Clearly communicate priorities and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Execution and Governance
• Ensure execution clarity, guaranteeing that stories are well-defined, acceptance criteria are established, and delivery teams have the necessary resources to proceed.
• Uphold governance adherence across all CRM change processes.
