We are excited to invite a passionate Sales Development Representative to our expanding North American team at Lightspeed! In this pivotal role, you will serve as the initial point of contact for potential customers engaging with our sales team. Your primary responsibility will be to drive revenue growth by generating and qualifying leads for our sales team. We are seeking candidates with a background in lead generation or technology-based sales. If you are eager to advance your sales career, this opportunity is perfect for you!

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive business growth by qualifying warm inbound leads generated from marketing efforts (webinars, trials, quote/demo requests), primarily through phone and email communication.

  • Nurture all inbound leads until they are qualified for Lightspeed's inside sales team.

  • Create an exceptional first impression for our prospects and clients by delivering a top-tier experience.

  • Identify customer needs to assess the suitability of Lightspeed solutions.

  • Manage various lead sources, including incoming calls, emails, chats, and referrals simultaneously.

  • Maintain our customer database using Salesforce, ensuring all communications are accurately logged.

  • Collaborate with the Sales Development Manager to devise innovative strategies for enhancing the sales pipeline, consistently achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

What We Are Looking For:

  • A minimum of 2 years of sales or customer-facing experience.

  • Experience in technology sectors (software, mobile, etc.) is a significant advantage.

  • Background in hospitality is a plus.

  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong emphasis on listening.

  • Self-motivated, outgoing, and a proactive go-getter.

  • Tech-savvy, yet able to communicate effectively with non-technical individuals.

  • Fluency in English is essential due to our global operations beyond Quebec.

  • An awesome and entrepreneurial spirit is a must!
