REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Business Administration, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in designing and delivering technical training, with at least 2 years in a software or SaaS environment. 3+ years of experience administering or supporting the Accela Civic Platform and its associated applications. Demonstrated ability to create self-paced eLearning and instructional videos using contemporary authoring tools (Articulate, Camtasia, Captivate, etc.). Exceptional presentation, communication, and editing skills, with a keen attention to instructional clarity and engagement. Proven ability to manage multiple training projects in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and navigate ambiguity effectively. Collaborative and innovative mindset with a strong focus on user experience. Familiarity with government workflows is an advantage. Willingness to deliver live virtual sessions as needed; no regular travel required.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Technical Training Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering dynamic training programs centered around the Accela Civic Platform. This role prioritizes the creation of video and eLearning content that empowers customers, partners, and internal teams with the skills necessary for effective implementation and management of Accela solutions. Additionally, the trainer will facilitate live, instructor-led virtual sessions on specific Civic Platform subjects to promote interactive learning and reinforce essential concepts.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Craft and produce engaging technical training resources for Civic Platform products, including video tutorials, eLearning modules, and simulations.
  • Conduct live, virtual instructor-led training sessions for selected product areas as required.
  • Collaborate with product, implementation, and customer success teams to ensure training materials are current with product updates and meet customer needs.
  • Create supporting educational resources such as course guides, scripts, assessments, and interactive exercises.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Accela implementation methodologies, Civic Platform functionality, and internal systems.
  • Oversee and maintain content within Accela University applications to guarantee accuracy, organization, and ease of use.
  • Share innovative ideas and best practices to continually enhance Accela’s training library and improve the learner experience.
