About the Role:
As our Senior Technical Product Marketing Manager focused on AI, you will play a crucial role in establishing Kong as a leader in AI connectivity. Collaborating closely with the Head of Product Marketing, you will articulate the vision for Kong's AI connectivity solutions, including the AI Gateway, Agent Gateway, and Context Mesh. Your expertise will help convey complex AI infrastructure concepts in a way that resonates with both technical and business stakeholders. As a strategic ally to the Product, Field, Partnerships, and Solutions Engineering teams, you will help navigate a rapidly evolving market where innovative connectivity is critical. Your deep understanding of the AI/ML infrastructure landscape will allow you to connect our platform capabilities to the real-world challenges faced by AI developers and operators.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop the technical narrative for Kong’s AI connectivity offerings, creating impactful positioning and messaging that resonates with AI engineers and enterprise customers.
Become a product expert within Kong’s AI connectivity suite; engage with the products directly, gain insights into the technology, and achieve proficiency in relevant protocols (REST, MCP, event streaming) and AI methodologies (agentic workflows, RAG, tool calling, multi-agent systems).
Create and curate technical documentation, including solution briefs, white papers, demo scripts, competitive analysis, and keynote presentations that highlight Kong’s unique advantages in the AI connectivity domain.
Serve as a thought leader in AI infrastructure and API management; represent Kong at industry events, analyst meetings, customer advisory boards, and conferences.
Work with Product teams to influence the AI roadmap by integrating market intelligence, customer insights, and competitive analysis into product development priorities.
Collaborate with Field Enablement to design sales strategies, presentation frameworks, and competitive messaging that empower Account Executives and Sales Engineers to secure AI-driven contracts.
