Position Overview & Responsibilities:
The New York Times is on the lookout for an innovative Product Director to spearhead our Multimodal product team within the News Product division. Our ambition is to become the primary source of news for millions globally, serving as their go-to platform for reading, watching, or listening to news daily.

The Multimodal team aligns closely with our editorial team, working in sync with our journalists to respond swiftly to the news cycle. We seek a product leader who is passionate about news, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is committed to developing product experiences that mirror the excellence of our journalism.
Reporting to the VP of News Product, you will lead a talented team of product managers. Your collaboration with newsroom leaders, journalists, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders will be crucial in crafting strategies and delivering high-quality multimodal experiences across our platforms.
This role is hybrid, based in our New York City office, with an expectation of in-office work at least two days a week.
