As an Enterprise Network Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, execution, monitoring, and enhancement of our enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring unparalleled availability, performance, and security throughout the organization. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining and advancing essential networking technologies, including F5 application delivery controllers, Riverbed WAN optimization platforms, and Cisco collaboration systems.
This position involves being outsourced to a government sector client, where you will actively monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement strategic solutions to bolster network reliability and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure seamless operations while adapting to the organization’s ongoing connectivity and collaboration needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Infrastructure Management
- Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure for optimal performance and high availability.
- Administer Cisco switching and routing environments, including VLANs, routing protocols, and network segmentation.
- Oversee network connectivity across data centers, offices, and remote setups.
- Implement network configurations that align with organizational standards, security protocols, and industry best practices.
Application Delivery & Load Balancing
- Manage and maintain F5 Application Delivery Controllers (ADC), including Local Traffic Manager (LTM), Global Traffic Manager (GTM), and Web Application Firewall (WAF).
- Configure and optimize load balancing policies to enhance application availability and performance.
- Monitor application traffic to ensure efficient distribution and security.
WAN Optimization & Network Performance
- Implement and manage Riverbed WAN optimization solutions to boost network efficiency and application performance.
- Analyze WAN traffic patterns to identify bandwidth optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to improve application delivery and network responsiveness.
Collaboration Infrastructure Support
- Administer Cisco Collaboration solutions, including VoIP and Unified Communications platforms.
- Ensure stable operation of voice and collaboration services across the organization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues pertaining to call quality, connectivity, and system integration.
Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting
- Continuously monitor network infrastructure with enterprise monitoring tools to guarantee operational stability.
- Proactively identify potential issues and implement corrective measures.
