Core Responsibilities:Install electrical equipment, such as small rack-mounted UPS systems, various battery sizes, and UPS/battery monitoring devices. Maintain battery cabinets and racks, maintenance bypass systems, battery monitoring equipment, DC systems, and other electrical devices. Perform remedial services, including failure analysis, troubleshooting, component replacements, and battery string installations, regularly and as needed. Build strong customer relationships by providing excellent service and identifying opportunities for upselling products. Resolve field troubleshooting calls from customers in a timely manner. Respond quickly to critical situations. Teach and mentor team members on proper site work techniques and troubleshooting methods.

The Critical Power Field Technician (UPS Engineer) is based in Santa Clarita, CA, and serves the surrounding region. This role focuses on onsite preventive, corrective, and restorative maintenance for critical power systems. Equipment includes UPS, DC systems, inverters, power distribution units (PDUs), static transfer switches (STS), and standalone reserve battery technologies.
