About the job

The Opportunity
As a pivotal member of our legal team, you will report directly to the Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for Privacy and AI Governance. Your primary responsibility will be to architect, implement, and manage privacy-focused governance strategies for the development and deployment of AI technologies. This vital role involves acting as a framework owner, advisor, and process architect, ensuring adherence to international AI regulations, privacy laws, and ethical standards through collaborative efforts with Product, Security, Legal, and Engineering teams.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead AI Program Governance and Policy: Assess the relevance of global AI laws, spearhead policy formulation, fulfill the role of Framework Owner, and establish ethical benchmarks and clear directives for AI development. Optimize significant assessments (Privacy, Safety, AI) and propose AI-driven tools to enhance efficiency.
  • Manage AI Incident Response: Evaluate and refine incident response protocols to include AI-specific triggers and regulatory reporting pathways, ensuring alignment with existing responsibilities and Security’s AI Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Oversee AI Risk Management: Uphold the AI Risk Management Policy and define a standardized risk taxonomy (rights-based versus technical risks).
  • Ensure Accuracy, Robustness, and Cybersecurity: Provide guidance on modifying security and compliance frameworks to align with AI-related legal requirements, and work closely with technical teams to guarantee models meet predetermined accuracy metrics and compliance benchmarks.
  • Implement Quality Management and Monitoring: Assess and modify standard Quality Management System (QMS) protocols for AI design, testing, validation, and ongoing performance monitoring. Ensure maintenance of standard processes and reporting templates for continuous model performance and compliance.
  • Specialist Consultation: Coordinate specialized legal analyses (e.g., IP, Employment) with the relevant co-counsel.
