The Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer plays a pivotal role in providing Automation support across various client projects. This position involves the development, testing, and implementation of innovative Automation rules, programs, and processes. The ideal candidate will thrive in a multi-LPAR client environment and offer assistance to team members and stakeholders regarding technical inquiries and problem-solving. A strong functional knowledge of z/OS Opsmvs or z/SA Automation, along with expertise in REXX programming and NetView, is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead by example and serve as a subject matter expert (SME) within the Automation team.
- Align team objectives with Ensono's broader strategic goals.
- Provide thought leadership and innovative ideas to enhance Automation practices.
- Configure and maintain the System State Manager effectively.
- Support the Opslog archive process configuration.
- Manage and understand MSF and EPI configurations.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills in client meetings and business development opportunities.
- Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment involving the Automation team and stakeholders.
- Review existing automated processes for optimization and standardization.
- Enhance team performance through mentorship and guidance.
- Develop automated monitoring solutions for proactive problem identification and resolution.
- Document problem analysis and resolutions, establishing best practices and procedures.
- Take ownership of complex assignments and initiatives.
- Possess a solid understanding of zSA architecture and its commands.
- Define automation policies and message automation processes, particularly EMM.
- Manage zSA defined resources and modify goals as necessary.
- Experience in installation and upgrades is preferred.

Required Qualifications:
