Minimum Education Experience: An Associate’s Degree in finance or mortgage lending is required, along with a minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in a mortgage lending or finance environment. Previous supervisory experience is preferred. Skills and Abilities:Recent experience in purchasing processing is essential. Strong customer service orientation with excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with diverse individuals. Ability to elicit, interpret, analyze, and evaluate information in accordance with underwriting guidelines and lender requirements. Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where precision and timeliness are crucial. Strong mathematical skills and proficiency with calculators. Leadership skills to manage the work of others effectively.

This is a full-time, on-site position.

Job Summary: As a Senior Loan Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in processing essential documentation for FHA, VA, and Conventional mortgage loan applications, preparing comprehensive packages for loan approval. This position may also involve supervising and guiding fellow loan specialists.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct interviews with loan applicants to collect vital information regarding credit, employment, and financial status.
  • Accumulate, assess, and process documentation from applicants, credit bureaus, employers, and other creditors to validate financial information and credit standings.
  • Review, organize, and compile application materials to ensure timely and accurate submission of credit files to underwriting.
  • Engage with applicants, underwriters, and creditors to address any issues or inquiries related to application information.
  • Collaborate with team members to support the Branch Manager and Loan Officers in loan processing.
  • Oversee and direct the work of junior loan specialists when applicable.
