Job Summary
We are on the lookout for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Human Resources Manager to act as the primary HR liaison for all employees and managers in New York. This pivotal role encompasses oversight of employee relations, leave administration, onboarding, policy communication, compliance, and the daily operations of HR. The Senior Human Resources Manager should be detail-oriented, proactive, and adept at handling sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of New York employment laws, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to cultivate trusted relationships at all organizational levels.
Responsibilities
Employee Relations
- Act as the primary HR representative for all New York employees and managers.
- Address HR inquiries, offer guidance on policies, and assist with daily employee requirements.
- Oversee employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, advising managers, conducting investigations, and managing disciplinary actions or terminations.
Leave & Accommodation Management
- Administer and track all leaves, including FMLA, New York Paid Family Leave (NYPFL), ADA accommodations, and workers’ compensation.
- Ensure proper documentation and adherence to state and federal regulations.
Training & Compliance
- Facilitate and/or provide mandatory training (anti-harassment, Code of Conduct, HIPAA refresher, safety).
- Maintain audit-ready personnel files, I-9s, licenses, background checks, and compliance documentation.
