Knowledge and Skills:In-depth knowledge of financial, contractual, and operational requirements in managed care settings, hospitals, and group practices. Expertise in funds flow methodologies. Exceptional interpersonal skills with strong analytical capabilities and the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. Proven contract negotiation skills and abilities. Outstanding organizational and management skills, capable of setting strategies and leading teams in fast-paced environments. Excellent communication skills essential for effective management.

About the job

As the Senior Director of Finance and Contracting, you will play a pivotal role within Boston Medical Center (BMC) and its Accountable Care Organization (ACO). This leadership position, which reports to both the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of BMC and the Executive Director of the ACO, is responsible for overseeing system contracting with various payers and ACO network providers. You will also manage ACO finances, budgeting, and financial management systems, ensuring alignment with BMC’s overall financial structures. Collaborating closely with ACO and hospital management teams, physician leadership, and provider network leaders, you will develop and implement impactful financial strategies and contracting objectives. Your role will involve leading complex contract negotiations, ensuring compliance, and identifying opportunities for contractual optimization. Additionally, you'll serve as the primary liaison with health plan payers and an internal resource for financial matters affecting our ACO providers.
