FastJobs, part of FastCo, connects blue-collar and non-executive job seekers with employers across Singapore and Malaysia. As the platform grows in Malaysia, the team is seeking a Senior Business Development Executive/Manager to drive employer acquisition efforts in Kuala Lumpur.
Role overview
This position leads the full new-business sales cycle for the Malaysian market. Responsibilities include prospecting, outreach, pitching, closing, and onboarding employers onto the FastJobs platform. The role focuses on building relationships with hiring managers, HR leaders, and operational heads in sectors such as F&B, retail, logistics, hospitality, and facilities management. As one of the first business development hires dedicated to Malaysia, this person will have significant ownership, visible impact, and direct communication with the Chief Revenue Officer.
What you will do
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospective employer accounts across key non-executive hiring sectors.
- Conduct proactive outreach through cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, and field visits, as well as convert inbound leads.
- Lead discovery calls and deliver in-person or virtual demonstrations to understand employer needs and present FastJobs solutions.
- Negotiate and close commercial agreements, including job posting packages and featured listings.
- Onboard new employers and coordinate their transition to account management or customer success teams.
- Maintain accurate pipeline and deal records in the CRM and provide weekly forecasts to the CRO.
- Represent FastJobs at HR events, trade shows, and employer forums throughout Malaysia.
- Share market insights with product and marketing teams regarding the needs of Malaysian employers.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of B2B sales or business development experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Experience selling to HR, operations, or business owners, especially in high-volume non-executive hiring industries (F&B, retail, logistics, hospitality, etc.).
- Ability to independently source leads and manage the entire sales cycle.
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.
- Comfortable working in a target-driven, startup environment with minimal supervision.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Kuala Lumpur.
Preferred experience
- Background with a job board, recruitment services, HR tech platform, or SaaS product for HR/operations buyers.
- Established network among Malaysian employers in blue-collar or non-executive hiring sectors.
- Familiarity with CRM systems such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
