AECOM is actively seeking a seasoned Senior Bid Manager to enhance our Buildings Design team in Dubai. In this critical position, the Senior Bid Manager will spearhead business growth and implement strategic initiatives within the designated discipline. This multifaceted role demands a blend of analytical insight and business acumen to unearth growth opportunities, facilitate strategic planning, and lead intricate bid and proposal efforts. You will also be responsible for mentoring the bid team, ensuring the quality, compliance, and competitiveness of all submissions. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented leader with exceptional analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently identify and pursue new business opportunities while collaborating across departments to align with broader organizational goals.
- Supervise and guide junior business development staff to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Utilize technical and commercial knowledge to aid in the development of cost proposals and business cases.
- Employ negotiation techniques and consensus-building skills to facilitate deal-making and partnership cultivation.
- Examine tender documents, qualification requests, and drawings to inform proposal content and strategy.
- Formulate cost proposals ensuring all legal, contractual, and risk-related qualifications are included.
- Plan, organize, and manage bid activities across assigned disciplines and territories.
- Deliver polished proposals within set deadlines, maintaining accountability for financial performance and timely delivery.
- Collaborate closely with Discipline Leads to create methodologies, execution plans, timelines, and workforce hour estimates.
- Identify and communicate potential business targets and pursuits to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and governance frameworks, including EMIA Delegations of Authority and directives from the Middle East Risk Committee.
- Engage in go/no-go decision-making processes and contribute to operational planning and execution.
- Monitor ongoing bids and provide weekly status updates to the Bids and Proposals Unit.
- Prepare internal and external reports and presentations to support strategic and operational goals.
- Independently devise bid strategies and support client presentations to boost win probability and client trust.
