Luminis Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to lead Parenting Classes in Annapolis, MD. This position focuses on supporting new parents and grandparents by teaching essential topics such as infant care, self-care after delivery, and breastfeeding, all aligned with the perinatal unit's guidelines.
What you will do
- Lead interactive classes using a set curriculum, encouraging active participation from attendees.
- Prepare educational materials according to established protocols, manage client registrations, and document incentives when required.
- Conduct program evaluations and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all supplies and equipment are ready for each session, maintaining a clean and organized teaching space.
- Communicate regularly with the program coordinator and other staff, and attend scheduled instructor meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- At least six months of experience in Maternal-Child Health or a Certificate in Early Childhood Curriculum and Development.
- Minimum one year of experience working with children under two years old.
- Strong communication skills.
Licensing and Certification
- Current RN license required.
- Certificate in Early Childhood Curriculum and Development preferred.
