Luminis Health seeks a Registered Nurse to serve as a Parenting Class Instructor in Annapolis, MD. This role supports new parents and grandparents by teaching key topics such as infant care, self-care after delivery, and breastfeeding, all in line with the perinatal unit's guidelines.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead interactive classes using a set curriculum, encouraging participation from attendees.
- Prepare educational materials following established protocols, handle client registrations, and document incentives as needed.
- Conduct program evaluations and participate in quality improvement efforts.
- Ensure all supplies and equipment are ready for each session, keeping the teaching space clean and organized.
- Communicate regularly with the program coordinator and other staff, and attend scheduled instructor meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- At least six months of experience in Maternal-Child Health or a Certificate in Early Childhood Curriculum and Development.
- Minimum one year of experience working with children under two years old.
- Strong communication skills.
Licensing and Certification
- Current RN license required.
- Certificate in Early Childhood Curriculum and Development preferred.
