About the job
ABOUT MOAB
Moab is revolutionizing the equipment dealer and rental industry through a comprehensive, modern software platform. This sector plays a pivotal role in the multi-trillion-dollar construction, agriculture, and logistics markets, yet remains underserved by outdated software solutions that have persisted since the 1980s and 1990s. Our mission is to establish a seamless connection for all stakeholders involved in the sale, rental, servicing, and utilization of equipment, beginning with a next-generation system-of-record that empowers rental businesses to operate with increased speed, intelligence, and efficiency.
Our team is composed of dynamic, committed, and passionate individuals. We appreciate team members who not only engage in hands-on tasks but also possess the ability to think strategically and creatively about the broader vision. We are looking for new team members who are enthusiastic about collaborating and making a meaningful impact for our customers and the organization. At Moab, you will discover ample opportunities for career advancement within a meritocratic culture that emphasizes both individual and team development.
ABOUT THE ROLE
At Moab, we have redefined the role of product management. Rather than traditional product managers, we emphasize clear ownership and close collaboration in our product work.
Engineers are responsible for the design and execution of solutions.
Product Operations is committed to thoroughly understanding customer challenges, synthesizing insights across the business, and assisting the team in prioritizing what is most significant.
The Product Operations Manager's mission is to enhance productivity within the engineering team—not by dictating what to build, but by providing clarity, evidence, and context that facilitate sound decision-making.
You will collaborate closely with engineers, customers, and the business operations team throughout the entire lifecycle of impactful product initiatives, from discovery to rollout to post-launch evaluation. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will function as an individual contributor, granted a high degree of trust and autonomy.
In this role, you will often engage in tasks typically reserved for positions two levels above you (e.g., meeting with a CEO of a large business) as well as those typically required of roles two levels below you (e.g., addressing customer support tickets). This position is designed for doers.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Collaborate daily with engineers and customers to gain insights into how Moab is utilized in real-world workflows.
