Education and Experience Requirements:High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Preferred: Associate Degree in maintenance, electrical, or industrial maintenance. Completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent experience in maintenance. A minimum of four years of maintenance experience, ideally within a healthcare or hospital setting. Licenses and Certifications:Preferred: Building Operators Certification. Must possess a valid Maryland driver's license with a clean driving record (no more than two points).

The Maintenance Mechanic II position at Luminis Health plays a key role in keeping facility equipment running reliably in Annapolis, MD. This role involves a mix of skilled installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance. Safety procedures and predictive maintenance are part of daily routines, and the job includes participating in a rotating on-call schedule.

What you will do

  • Install, maintain, and service facility equipment, using knowledge of various operational machinery.
  • Respond to emergency calls and complete scheduled maintenance assignments.
  • Take on floor mechanic duties as assigned.
  • Troubleshoot and repair systems using mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills.
  • Perform plumbing, electrical, general maintenance, and carpentry tasks as needed.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to guide maintenance and repairs.
  • Follow preventive maintenance routines and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Identify problems, replace or repair faulty components, test systems, and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety guidelines.
