Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.1-5+ years of relevant experience in transportation projects involving DOT, municipal, and county work.Previous experience in roadway and/or bridge design.Familiarity with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation products (OpenRoads, InRoads, or Geopak) is advantageous.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Preferred: PE license in Kansas or the ability to obtain it promptly.Knowledge of local standards and regulations is a plus.Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively. Excellent presentation, written communication, time management, and organizational skills are essential.Capability to work under tight deadlines, demonstrate sound business judgment, and maintain confidentiality.

We are excited to invite applications for a Roadway Engineer to become a vital part of our Transportation team in Wichita (in-office role). This position involves contributing to the design of diverse projects, which may encompass highways and roadways, bridge designs and rehabilitations, interchanges, rural roads, urban streets and intersections, pavement management, roundabouts, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design and development of transportation projects for DOT, turnpikes, county, and municipal entities.
Support project managers throughout all phases of project design, including roadway, bridge, drainage, and traffic control design.
Provide mentorship and direction to production staff.
Help prepare project proposals, conduct interviews, and deliver client presentations.
Participate in client meetings to ensure designs align with their objectives and requirements.
