Qualifications & Experience:Law degree.5+ years of legal practice in Europe, either at a law firm or as in-house counsel, specifically in fintech or payments. Extensive experience in commercial contracts, negotiations, and data protection/privacy law (e.g., GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA). Exceptional drafting and negotiation capabilities with a business-oriented perspective. Proficient in English (both written and spoken). Fluency in additional languages (Spanish, Italian, German, or others) is advantageous.

We are on the lookout for a proactive and commercially savvy Legal Counsel with substantial expertise in commercial contracts and data privacy within the fintech or technology realm to join our Commercial Legal Team in Europe.

This position is available for candidates residing in Spain, Italy, the UK, Malta, or Germany.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the company’s expansion by delivering practical, risk-conscious legal guidance while ensuring adherence to corporate policies and relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a diverse array of complex commercial agreements, encompassing partnership and client contracts.
  • Assist the sales team by structuring deals, fostering innovation, and propelling commercial initiatives while identifying legal risks and proposing pragmatic solutions.
  • Offer guidance on data protection and privacy matters, including GDPR and other applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders within the organization.
  • Create templates, training resources, and draft privacy-related policies.
