Role overview
This freelance AI Trainer role centers on designing and validating computational chemistry problems that simulate real-world research. Projects vary, and contributors may work on:
- Creating advanced computational chemistry problems that mirror authentic research workflows
- Developing tasks requiring Python programming solutions, using numpy, scipy, and chemistry-specific libraries
- Ensuring problems are computationally intensive and not solvable manually in a short period
- Formulating questions involving complex reasoning in physical chemistry, quantum chemistry, and molecular modeling
- Basing problems on actual research challenges or practical applications in chemistry
- Validating answers through Python, applying established computational chemistry methods
- Documenting problem statements clearly and providing accurate, verified solutions
Requirements
- Degree in Chemistry or a closely related field
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; experience with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or domain-specific languages is also considered
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience (applied work, research, or teaching)
- Experience with numerical methods in chemistry
- Understanding of computational chemistry principles and techniques
- Strong written English skills (C1 level or higher)
