What you will do
- Create original computational chemistry problems that reflect real research workflows
- Design challenges requiring Python programming solutions, using libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, and chemistry-specific packages
- Develop problems that are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually in a reasonable time
- Write tasks involving advanced reasoning in areas like physical chemistry, quantum chemistry, and molecular modeling
- Ensure problems relate to actual research challenges or practical chemistry applications
- Validate solutions using Python and standard computational chemistry methods
- Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers
Requirements
- Degree in Chemistry or a closely related field
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, or similar languages is acceptable
- At least 2 years of relevant experience (applied, research, or teaching)
- Understanding of numerical methods in chemistry
- Knowledge of computational chemistry concepts and methods
- Strong written English skills (C1 level or higher)
Project details
- Part-time, non-permanent, project-based work
- Estimated 10–20 hours per week during active project phases (actual workload may vary)
Compensation
Earn up to $35 per hour, depending on experience and contribution speed. Pay rates vary by project and reflect the scope, complexity, and required expertise.
