About the job
About Liquid AI
Founded as a spin-off from MIT CSAIL, Liquid AI is dedicated to developing general-purpose artificial intelligence systems that operate seamlessly across various platforms, from data center accelerators to on-device hardware. Our focus is on delivering low latency, minimal memory usage, privacy, and reliability. We collaborate with enterprises in consumer electronics, automotive, life sciences, and financial services sectors. As we undergo rapid scaling, we seek extraordinary talent to join our mission.
The Opportunity
Join us in constructing the commercial foundation of a unicorn-stage AI company. This pivotal role will act as the strategic architect for our commercial and product operations, integrating corporate finance with our dynamic Go-To-Market strategy. Your focus will not be on maintaining existing systems, but on innovating the infrastructure of our revenue organization.
What We Are Looking For
We are in search of a candidate who:
- Collaborates across disciplines: Possesses a strong finance background combined with operational insight into sales operations, commissions, and deal structuring.
- Builds from the ground up: Is invigorated by greenfield opportunities and the challenge of creating sources of truth rather than relying on outdated systems.
- Drives automation: Is relentlessly focused on identifying opportunities to streamline manual processes, particularly in invoicing and billing.
- Excels in uncertainty: Prefers independence over strict guidelines and can adapt to the rapid pace of an AI company.
The Work
As a Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Establishing the GTM Finance Engine: Implementing our CRM and revenue systems to ensure a seamless flow of deal data into financial reporting.
- Driving Sales Finance: Collaborating with the sales team on quotas, commissions, and booking forecasts, assisting in deal structuring and operationalizing the quote-to-cash process.
- Contributing to Corporate Finance: Supporting capital allocation, headcount planning, and board reporting beyond sales support.
- Architecting Processes: Designing workflows that link the revenue engine to the general ledger, automating invoicing and collections to facilitate scaling.
Desired Experience
- A proven track record of 6+ years in Finance, with a focus on Sales Finance, Strategic Finance, or FP&A in a high-growth startup environment.
