Join Datadog as an Enterprise Sales Engineer, where you will leverage your technical expertise to enhance our sales efforts through impactful presentations, engaging product demonstrations, and thorough technical evaluations (POVs). As a vital member of the sales team, you will play a key role in qualifying and closing opportunities with both customers and partners, while also voicing customer insights to influence product prioritization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Sales team to effectively communicate Datadog's value proposition, vision, and strategy to clients.
- Oversee technical customer engagement during the trial phase, articulating Datadog’s value based on client interactions and resolving any issues for successful outcomes.
- Utilize advanced technical knowledge and competitive insights to close complex sales opportunities.
- Deliver engaging product and technical presentations to prospective clients.
- Maintain comprehensive records in our CRM regarding customer feedback, including both wins and losses.
- Actively liaise with customers and Datadog's business and technical teams to share product feedback and insights into the competitive landscape.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, DevOps/SRE, or Platform Engineering, preferably in a customer-facing role.
- Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern application frameworks (Containers/Kubernetes, microservices, CI/CD).
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, . NET, JavaScript/Node.js, Ruby, PHP).
- Familiarity with observability and security tools (metrics, logs, traces, RUM, SIEM, CSPM, etc.), with experience using Datadog or similar platforms being a plus.
- Passion for educating customers about observability risks relevant to their business and ability to design and execute evaluation plans that highlight both business value and technical benefits of our solutions.
- Comfortable working across diverse cultures; fluency in English is required, with additional ASEAN languages (e.g., Cantonese) being advantageous.
- Willingness to travel frequently to Hong Kong and other locations, with potential travel up to 45% of the time.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while traveling to client sites.
