About the Role
In the capacity of Director of Product Management, you will report directly to the VP of Product & Design, serving as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for pivotal initiatives aimed at broadening the reach, functionality, and value of our platform. You will steer our product organization towards a proactive, strategically driven, and customer-focused approach, ensuring clear direction, consistent execution, and a robust feedback loop with our customers to inform our roadmap.
Your role will involve balancing practical product strategy with leadership responsibilities, supporting Product Managers in achieving measurable business outcomes while fostering a culture of inquiry, accountability, and excellence across functions.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of 4+ product managers, providing guidance, setting clear expectations, and creating growth opportunities.
- Define product vision and strategy for key components of our platform, translating customer insights and company objectives into actionable roadmaps.
- Facilitate clarity and prioritization, aiding teams in making informed decisions that weigh user value, business impact, and technical investment.
- Collaborate with Design, Engineering, and GTM teams to identify and execute cross-functional initiatives that enhance core metrics.
- Establish and refine product rituals (such as reviews, retrospectives, and planning) to ensure consistency, alignment, and focus within the team.
- Promote data-driven decision making, guiding your PMs to utilize both qualitative and quantitative insights throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Contribute to the organization’s product maturity, helping to establish frameworks, standards, and best practices throughout Customer.io.
