About the Role
As an integral part of our Configuration Management team, you will take the lead in implementing and overseeing configuration management processes throughout the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the precision and control of document releases, modifications, and technical data. Collaborating closely with various teams, you will guarantee that all configuration items and documentation are meticulously tracked, verified, and aligned with our organizational standards to uphold system integrity and compliance.
What You'll Do
- Facilitate and support document control, ensuring adherence to configuration management (CM) processes for the appropriate handling, storage, and dissemination of technical data.
- Examine Change Notices for thoroughness, accuracy, and alignment with CM standards prior to Change Review Board presentations.
- Participate in Change Review Board meetings, accurately documenting decisions, action items, and approvals.
- Manage the release and change process for configuration items, confirming compliance with established standards while ensuring documentation accuracy and currency.
- Confirm that effectivity assignments are accurate and correctly executed in the PLM system.
- Preserve the integrity of configuration data within systems, ensuring all changes are captured and processed correctly.
- Conduct audits to ensure that released documents and configuration items comply with the Configuration Management Plan.
- Collaborate across engineering, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing to identify cut-in points, retrofit requirements, and necessary resources for change implementation.
- Work in partnership with the Design Data Integrity Engineer to ensure that released data meets CM requirements.
- Engage with internal teams to facilitate the smooth execution of document releases and configuration modifications.
