Required Skills & Competencies:Deep expertise in ServiceNow (CMDB, SACM, ISP, and CSDM). Strong understanding of Configuration Management processes and ITIL best practices. Hands-on experience with data quality management, validation, and reconciliation. Proficiency in writing, updating, and maintaining process documents and work instructions. Excellent analytical skills for tracking KPIs and conducting root cause analysis. Exceptional stakeholder engagement abilities, capable of consulting, training, and guiding colleagues effectively. Desired Experience:Minimum of 5 years in Configuration & Asset Management (SACM). Demonstrated success in implementing workflows and automation within ServiceNow CMDB. Experience with multiple CMDB tools (e.g., HP AM CDS, ITSM2). Familiarity with audit and compliance processes. Exposure to large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments.

About the job

As a Configuration Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our IT infrastructure by implementing automated workflows for the creation and maintenance of Configuration Items (CIs). Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and automating workflows for the efficient management of Configuration Items (CIs) from various sources.

  • Applying the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) to both service and technical CIs.

  • Recording and maintaining CIs in T-Systems standardized CMDBs such as ServiceNow, HP AM CDS, and ITSM2.

  • Supporting data maintenance and reconciliation to guarantee data accuracy and completeness.

  • Creating, updating, and maintaining process documentation and Work Instructions (WI), detailing mandatory fields, relationships, and reconciliation processes.

  • Establishing data quality checks and implementing corrective actions for continuous improvement.

  • Enhancing ServiceNow ISP service requests for accurate approvals and data entry.

  • Delivering consultations and training sessions on Configuration & Facility Management (CFM) as needed.

  • Participating in project audits, workshops, and governance reviews.

  • Collaborating with engineers and architects on new technology implementations within the CMS infrastructure.

  • Defining, tracking, and reporting internal SACM KPIs, providing insights on performance, root cause analysis, and mitigation strategies.

  • Facilitating knowledge-sharing, data exports, and approvals among colleagues in ServiceNow, HP AM CDS, and ITSM2.

  • Supporting data transformation and validation during database transfers into ServiceNow.
