With a revenue of £750m, the organization is currently undergoing a strategic transition from traditional print and events to digital subscriptions and data products, significantly investing in its commercial strategy to foster profitable growth. The strategy team plays a pivotal role in these transformation efforts, working closely with the CEO and divisional Managing Directors.
The Role
As the Commercial Strategy Manager, you will spearhead strategic initiatives that shape the company’s growth trajectory and resource allocation across its portfolio. Your responsibilities will encompass pricing frameworks, product strategies, new market exploration, and customer economics, employing both structured analysis and commercial acumen to tackle vital issues affecting the group's performance.
What You'll Do
- Lead strategic projects focusing on pricing, portfolio management, customer segmentation, and revenue optimization.
- Construct analytical frameworks and business cases to underpin significant commercial decisions made by divisional and group leadership.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to align strategic priorities with commercial plans and monitor outcomes.
- Contribute to the annual planning cycle by providing a commercially informed perspective on growth opportunities and risks.
- Generate insights on competitors, customers, and market trends to guide strategic positioning.
