Preferred Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in education or a field closely related to math and language arts. An advanced degree in a relevant field is preferred. Strong subject matter expertise in math and language arts. At least one year of teaching experience, particularly with advanced K-12 students, is preferred. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities effectively.

About the job

The Associate Director at AoPS Academy's Redmond campus plays a pivotal role in overseeing the campus's administrative and logistical operations. This position involves teaching engaging weekly classes in mathematics and language arts, as well as collaborating with the Campus Director to recruit and train part-time staff and instructors. This is a full-time, year-round position that encompasses both the academic year and summer sessions.

We seek a candidate with outstanding communication skills and an intuitive approach to education, capable of delivering our advanced curriculum while also mentoring and collaborating with fellow educators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the AoPS curriculum in dynamic, interactive classes, fostering student engagement and maintaining an effective classroom environment.
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of part-time faculty.
  • Support administrative, logistical, and customer service functions on campus.
  • Engage with prospective families to evaluate students' academic abilities and explain the advantages of our educational programs, thereby supporting enrollment and sales efforts.
  • Provide guidance and support to current students and families as necessary.
  • Help design and implement community-building activities to enhance campus culture and ensure high student retention rates.
