Location: Moorgate, London - 4 days in the office, 1 day remote.

At Checkatrade, we are revolutionizing the home improvement marketplace in the UK, assisting millions of homeowners in quickly and fairly connecting with the right tradespeople.

As an Account Executive, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our network of trades across various regions and categories. This position focuses on acquiring new trades, requiring you to proactively identify promising businesses and guide them through the entire process from outreach to closing deals. You will be at the forefront of our Go-To-Market (GTM) department within the Strategic Growth team, driving significant strategic outcomes.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Fostering revenue growth by onboarding new small and medium trade businesses: Identify high-potential trades, create tailored proposals that meet their specific needs, negotiate contract terms, and facilitate a seamless transition to our onboarding team.

  • Conducting thorough market analysis: Utilize data-driven insights to evaluate Checkatrade's market penetration and competitive positioning, identifying new opportunities and category gaps.

  • Collaborating cross-functionally: Partner closely with Account Management, Vetting, Product, and Operations teams to assess regions and categories that can benefit most from our offerings.

  • Developing comprehensive product knowledge: Become an expert in our diverse product suite, crafting business cases and proposals tailored to meet the unique requirements of each potential partner.

  • Managing the complete outbound sales cycle: From initial prospecting and lead qualification to proposal development, negotiation, and deal closure.

This position requires a proactive mindset, strategic thinking, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic test-and-learn environment.
