About the job

Location: Initially required to work full onsite for the first 6 months; transitioning to a hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote thereafter, subject to managerial approval.

Working Hours / Job Type:

Monday to Friday, from 6 AM to 3 PM Manila time (9 AM to 6 PM AEDT), consisting of 8 core working hours plus a 1-hour break.

As part of their ongoing expansion of their Philippine-based team, they are seeking a talented Web Developer to contribute significantly to the development and maintenance of eCommerce web applications and API integrations within their technological ecosystem.

In this role, you will be dedicated to constructing robust and scalable eCommerce solutions utilizing PHP alongside modern frameworks, with a particular focus on Laravel. You will be expected to possess full-stack capabilities, excelling in backend PHP development as well as frontend technologies like React and Vue.js. Your responsibilities will encompass creating seamless eCommerce experiences and developing comprehensive API integrations that link eCommerce platforms with backend systems and third-party services.

Key Responsibilities:

eCommerce Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain eCommerce web applications using PHP and contemporary development methodologies, incorporating shopping cart functionality, product catalog management, checkout processes, payment gateway integrations, and order management systems.

Laravel Framework Development: Construct and uphold eCommerce applications via the Laravel framework, employing Eloquent ORM, Blade templating, middleware, authentication, and other Laravel tools to ensure robust eCommerce functionality.

API Development & Integration: Create and maintain RESTful APIs to facilitate eCommerce operations, integrating with payment gateways, shipping providers, inventory systems, ERP systems, third-party marketplaces, and external services while ensuring thorough documentation, versioning, and error management.

Frontend Development: Develop responsive and dynamic eCommerce user interfaces utilizing React or Vue.js, ensuring seamless shopping experiences, dynamic product displays, real-time cart updates, and responsive designs across all devices and browsers.

Database Development: Design and implement database solutions using SQL Server for eCommerce applications.
