Mariner Wealth Advisors seeks a Wealth Planning Analyst for the Overland Park, KS office. This role supports licensed financial advisors and is designed for those interested in building a career as a financial advisor. The position offers hands-on experience in client service, research, and financial planning, while developing technical and analytical skills.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as an initial point of contact for clients: answer questions, help with account access, and explain reports or statements.
  • Prepare documents, coordinate money transfers, and manage account maintenance requests as part of client service activities.
  • Assist Client Service Associates during onboarding by ensuring all account documentation is accurate and submitted promptly.
  • Arrange logistics for client meetings, both in-person and virtual.
  • Create meeting agendas, gather supporting materials, and help advisors prepare for client interactions.
  • Participate in client meetings: take detailed notes, document action items, and support follow-up activities.
  • Collect and organize client financial data such as assets, liabilities, income, and expenses to support advisor analysis.
  • Enter client data into financial planning software and draft initial financial plans with guidance from licensed advisors.
  • Assist in building financial projections and scenario analyses for advisor review.
  • Research portfolio holdings, performance metrics, fees, and asset allocation using approved resources.
  • Prepare reports and summaries of research findings to support advisor recommendations.
