THE PROGRAM

Our Veterinary Technician Student Externship Program is designed to provide you with an immersive, hands-on experience in emergency medicine. You'll work closely with our credentialed emergency veterinary technicians, allowing you to dive into the action rather than just observe.

Throughout the externship, you will be involved in all aspects of emergency care, from patient triage and diagnostics to inpatient treatment. This is your opportunity to build a solid foundation for your career, gain inspiration, and connect with a community dedicated to making a difference.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Learn from leading emergency veterinary professionals.
  • Receive real-time mentoring by pairing with an emergency credentialed veterinary technician.
  • Shadow and assist in triage, outpatient visits, diagnostics, anesthesia, inpatient care, and more.
  • Practice essential skills as outlined in your school’s proficiency checklist under expert guidance.
