Job Opportunity: Part-Time Unity Gameplay Developer (Remote - EMEA Timezone)
Join our dynamic team at fuku as we strive to reach a pivotal milestone in developing our debut title. This exciting game combines fast-paced arena combat with strategic deck-building mechanics, ensuring that every action is impactful, balanced, and thrilling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging gameplay systems, including character abilities, combat mechanics, and control systems.
- Innovate and refine card-based combat mechanics within the Unity engine.
- Enhance performance and troubleshoot gameplay issues to maintain fluid user experiences.
- Utilize a ScriptableObject-driven architecture for adaptable and scalable game systems.
- Collaborate effectively using Git in our fast-paced startup environment.
Essential Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with Unity and proficiency in C# programming.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing gameplay systems such as combat mechanics and character controls.
- Strong skills in performance optimization and debugging.
- Familiarity with ScriptableObject-driven workflows.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a Git-based environment.
- Self-motivated with a capacity for rapid iteration and improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in real-time multiplayer gameplay design.
- Background in ability systems or card-based mechanics.
- Knowledge of animation systems and input handling within Unity.
- Previous contributions to commercial games or playable prototypes are a plus.

- This is a part-time, remote position, with a preference for candidates located in the EMEA timezone.
