Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline. A minimum of 4 years' experience in 1D thermal systems, hydraulic systems, and component-level thermal simulation. At least 2 years of experience collaborating with automotive OEMs. Proficient in using 1D thermal simulation software, preferably GT Suite, to facilitate vehicle and propulsion system development. Demonstrated foundational expertise in electrified propulsion system components, including electric motors, power conversion systems, high-voltage batteries, engines, transmissions, charging electronics, and control systems. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Capable of articulating complex technical subjects clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

About the job

  • Design and develop high-fidelity 1-D thermal system and component-level models to enhance fuel economy and vehicle performance evaluations.
  • Conduct model correlation and validation against empirical test data to guarantee simulation precision and predictive capability.
  • Evaluate vehicle performance and the durability of thermal systems across a diverse range of mission profiles and duty cycles.
