Role Overview
The Thermal Analysis Engineer for Battery Systems will support the design and performance of battery packs and modules for Archer’s aircraft. This position involves simulation, testing, and collaboration across multiple engineering teams to ensure reliable and safe thermal management.
Main Responsibilities
- Run thermal analysis and simulations on battery packs and modules using advanced CAE tools.
- Develop simulation methods and workflows to improve team productivity.
- Design and optimize battery thermal management systems, including cold plates and phase change materials, to achieve high performance and safety.
- Plan and conduct thermal testing to validate and refine analytical models.
- Work closely with mechanical, electrical, control, and systems engineering teams to integrate thermal solutions and models.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations documenting findings, design recommendations, and test results.
