Plan, establish, and conduct hands-on validation, verification, and compliance tests on Fuse Energy hardware systems, both in laboratories and at live sites. Prepare systems for external certification and type testing, coordinating efforts with notified bodies, testing facilities, and third-party laboratories. Assist in field testing, commissioning, and acceptance activities at customer, partner, or pilot sites to confirm safety, performance, and grid interoperability. Implement targeted test campaigns addressing areas such as electrical safety (LVD), EMC, grid code compliance (e.g., G99/G100 and EU equivalents), functional safety, and environmental requirements. Detect, analyze, and troubleshoot hardware, firmware, and system-level issues identified during testing, collaborating closely with design and software engineers to implement corrective measures. Design test equipment and software to facilitate automated testing in HIL settings or EOL verification at production sites. Develop and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test procedures and reports.

Role Overview: Test Engineer

The Test Engineer plays a key role in making sure Fuse’s hardware products and energy systems meet regulatory, safety, and performance standards at every stage. This is a hands-on position, working with both prototypes and deployed systems. The role involves close collaboration with hardware, firmware, software, and operations teams to translate regulatory requirements into practical, testable engineering outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Validate designs through structured testing and analysis
  • Support certification processes and ensure compliance with relevant standards
  • Carry out end-of-line verification for hardware and energy systems
  • Work across a range of regulatory areas, including electrical safety, EMC, grid connection, and environmental compliance
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure products meet all requirements throughout their lifecycle
