Technical Services Manager
Location: Eye, Near Diss
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 16:00
Salary: Circa £50,000
We are seeking a dedicated Technical Services Manager to lead the evolution of our Quality Management System (QMS). This pivotal role involves assessing and refining our systems and processes while effectively managing key risks throughout our site. You will assist the Head of Technical in coordinating customer, third-party, and regulatory audits, and will be responsible for reviewing supplier data, including approval documentation and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Enhance and maintain all aspects of the quality management system pertaining to BRCGS & Customer COP’s, ensuring compliance with all customer-specific requirements, including animal welfare standards.
Oversee traceability and mass balance exercises, ensuring timely execution and documentation.
Administer the internal audit program in alignment with BRCGS and other customer-specific requirements.
Support the Head of Technical during customer visits and technical audits, striving for successful outcomes.
Manage the external audit program, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of all non-conformances.
Address supplier non-conformances and ensure timely resolutions.
Coach and develop quality systems and Specification technologists, setting objectives and supporting their training needs.
Foster strong cross-functional relationships to promote a shared food safety culture across the site.
Act as deputy to the Head of Technical as needed, undertaking additional duties as directed.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Proven experience in a food manufacturing quality role, including team management.
Essential experience with quality and technical systems.
Minimum Level 3 HACCP certification with a strong understanding of HACCP principles and their practical application.
CIEH Level 3 Food Safety for Manufacturing.
Experience as a Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor.
Strong IT, literacy, and numeracy skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
