Role Overview
This Technical Product Owner role is based in Manchester and offered as a 2-year fixed-term contract. The position centers on shaping and executing technical solutions for websites and digital programs. Collaboration is key: the role works closely with Product Managers, Project Managers, UX Designers, Technical Architects, and Development teams to deliver results across multiple channels.
Programs under this position include the Website program, HSE Health App, HSE Notify program, and Forms Engine for HSE Digital. The HSE websites use the Wagtail open-source CMS.
What You Will Do
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful website and multi-channel solutions
- Bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders, explaining complex topics clearly
- Shape and execute the technical vision for clients and internal teams
- Manage multiple digital programs, including those built on Wagtail CMS
Who We’re Looking For
- Strong technical background and understanding of website architectures
- Experience collaborating with teams covering architecture, front-end, back-end, DevOps, marketing technology, operations, and application development
- Ability to work alongside UX and Product Managers
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Business awareness to align technical solutions with client and user needs
