About the Team
The Accessibility Office leads initiatives and program management for employees with disabilities, enhancing support systems and contributing to a company-wide culture of inclusion. By building strong collaborative relationships with employees with disabilities across various divisions and key stakeholders, we provide expert counseling, training, and practical support to alleviate management burdens and related risks at the operational level.
Additionally, the Accessibility Office serves as a core function to enhance organizational inclusiveness and operational efficiency, driving sustainable growth and contributing to the realization of a more supportive and productive workplace environment.
Desired Candidate
We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate leadership and has experience in establishing and expanding teams to advance the mission of the Accessibility Office. It is desirable to have the ability to support the growth of the entire organization while respecting the individual strengths of each team member. To execute the broad range of measures and services undertaken by the office at a high standard, excellent program management and organizational skills are essential. The successful candidate will need to refine existing initiatives with an eye towards improvement and possess a strong sense of ownership to create what is lacking.
To succeed in this position, candidates must exhibit the ability to work autonomously, possess strong program management skills, build solid relationships with key stakeholders, and demonstrate practical problem-solving abilities. It is also crucial to collaborate closely with various divisions to provide counseling, training, and practical support for employees with disabilities, making one an excellent collaborator.
Job Responsibilities
Direct Team
- Build and manage a team providing administrative support for each division
- Collaborate with each division to organize and design tasks that should be consolidated within this team
- Manage progress of operations, ensure appropriate workload distribution, and conduct regular one-on-one meetings while considering the physical and mental well-being of team members
- Develop and promote strategies for forming a talent pool in the disability employment market, facilitating the recruitment and development of talented employees with disabilities who can contribute to organizational growth
- Oversee and manage the annual budget of the Accessibility Office, appropriately allocating resources for reasonable accommodations, employee support, and training
Company-Wide
- Plan and execute strategic measures to build and enhance support systems and organizational structures for employees with disabilities, aligned with company goals and regional needs
- Provide expert advice and consulting to divisions regarding reasonable accommodations and disability management as a specialist in the workplace
- Ensure compliance with Japanese laws regarding the employment and accessibility of persons with disabilities (e.g., the Act on Employment Promotion of Persons with Disabilities) and guarantee that all support systems and business processes adhere to legal standards.
