Your Role
- Engage with stakeholders from Tax Authorities to gather, analyze, and validate business requirements for a cutting-edge taxation system.
- Assess current (“as-is”) and prospective (“to-be”) taxation processes.
- Create detailed documentation of complex tax workflows utilizing BPMN, UML, or similar modeling languages.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure business requirements are accurately reflected in system specifications.
- Assist in the design of modules including Taxpayer Registration, Assessment, Returns, Payments, Debt Management, Audit & Compliance, and Reporting.
- Conduct gap analyses, data mapping, and comprehensive process reviews.
- Participate in workshops, presentations, and validation sessions with stakeholders at the EU and national levels.
- Contribute to quality assurance efforts, including test scenario creation, acceptance testing support, and traceability management.
What We’re Looking For
- A degree in IT or a related field.
- Over 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Consultant, or IT Consultant.
- Demonstrated experience with Taxation Systems, Revenue Services, eGovernment, Public Administration IT, or similar sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of BPMN 2.0 with practical experience using tools like Camunda Modeler or equivalents.
- Familiarity with tax administration processes (registration, filing, payments, audits, enforcement, etc.).
- Exceptional documentation, communication, and workshop facilitation abilities.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in additional EU languages is an asset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise architecture or modeling tools (ArchiMate, UML, etc.).
- Previous involvement in EU regulatory frameworks or government projects across Europe.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Exposure to interoperability frameworks, API-driven architectures, or integration with external government systems.
- Background in data analysis or reporting within public financial systems.
