We are on the lookout for a motivated and technically adept Tax Assistant (Senior Associate / Assistant Manager level) to enhance our in-house tax function. This multifaceted role emphasizes research, practical application, scenario modeling, governance, and the establishment of a strong internal tax control framework.
Reporting to the Senior Tax Manager and collaborating closely with the Finance Director, you will be instrumental in fortifying tax governance, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring that the necessary documentation and controls are upheld across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Research, Planning & Analysis: Conduct thorough tax research on both domestic and international matters to support business strategies. Prepare simulations, scenario analyses, and models for forecasting and budgeting.
- Process, Controls & Documentation: Assist in the design and enhancement of the tax control framework, including RACI matrices and compliance calendars. Identify control gaps and collaborate with finance teams for remediation.
- Tax Governance & Oversight: Supervise local finance team’s tax compliance activities, ensuring accuracy and alignment with group tax positions. Monitor legislative changes and summarize their implications for senior leadership.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the initial contact for tax-related inquiries and coordinate with external advisers to ensure high-quality outputs.
