Familiarity with Kickstart, Ansible, Yum, Git, SVN. Proficient in scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.). Experience with BIOS configuration. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities. Self-motivated and proactive with strong organizational and time management skills. Must be adaptable to shifting priorities. Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate work with various teams and vendors in addition to daily production support activities.

THE ROLE

Our advanced trading platform operates on high-performance servers strategically distributed across global data centers and offices. These servers are meticulously automated and optimized to fulfill the escalating demands of our operations. As a Systems Engineer, you will be pivotal in designing, constructing, and supporting these servers, collaborating with engineers from our worldwide teams to ensure our trading platform remains industry-leading.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues on Linux-based servers.
  • Develop, test, deploy, and maintain packages, batch files, and scripts for the operating system environment.
  • Identify optimization opportunities to minimize latency and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Oversee move, add, change requests and configurations as required.
  • Collaborate with internal technology teams and vendors to deliver optimal solutions.
  • Assist in formulating long-term infrastructure strategies and capacity planning to accommodate future platform infrastructure needs.

THE CANDIDATE

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux/Unix administration.
  • Experience with kernel tuning.
