QualificationsAt least 3 years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief. Deep understanding of surveying methodologies and practices. Proficiency with surveying tools such as total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors. Part 107 license is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with CAD software, especially Carlson AutoCAD, is an advantage. Strong communication and leadership abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, focusing on delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Survey Crew Chief to lead our growing team and address the increasing demands from clients across the country. The ideal candidate will oversee field survey operations and ensure the highest quality in all survey deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect data and ensure project completion by:
    • Locating boundaries, pins, utilities, and improvements while executing various project types such as ALTA, boundary, construction staking, and topographic surveys.
    • Checking and processing raw field data, performing calculations, and managing survey data documentation.
    • Conducting project research as necessary.
    • Adhering to instructions and directives from project managers.
    • Maintaining daily communication with the Field Project Manager to ensure alignment with the field schedule and reporting any deviations.

Physical Demands

  • Navigate rugged terrain in remote locations safely.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and challenging environments.
  • Transport and lift heavy equipment regularly (up to 100 pounds).
  • Willingness to travel regionally and nationally as required.
  • Availability for overtime and weekends as necessary.

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Ensure project safety and efficiency in compliance with schedules and budgets.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot survey equipment as needed.
