Role Overview

McLaren Racing seeks a Stock Transfer & Archiving Team Leader to manage the transfer, archiving, and rationalization of commercial merchandise, heritage stock, car parts, assemblies, and equipment at the Brooklands facility. This position combines hands-on stock handling with planning, prioritization, and process improvement. The role includes direct supervision of the Stock Transfer & Archiving Coordinator and requires careful attention to system accuracy and operational detail. Preparing Brooklands for a seamless transition into steady-state operations is a key focus. Strong stakeholder management and sound operational judgment are essential.

Main Responsibilities

  • Direct daily movement of commercial and heritage stock, sequencing tasks for smooth operations.
  • Coordinate inbound stock volumes with stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient receipt and storage.
  • Perform stock checks and verify quantities for all items entering Brooklands, ensuring accurate logging, labeling, and traceability.
  • Act as the primary on-site contact for delivery progress, risk management, and issue resolution during the move-in phase.
  • Receive, unload, check, label, and store stock with a focus on traceability and accuracy.
  • Support the development and implementation of standard operating procedures and effective move-in processes.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and space usage to maximize efficiency.
  • Manage, train, and support the Stock Transfer & Archiving Coordinator throughout the move-in period.
