We are currently seeking a highly skilled Staff Systems Engineer to play a pivotal role in executing multidisciplinary government and commercial R&D projects within our Emerging Technologies portfolio. Initially, this position will focus on providing essential support to our Quantum Gravity Gradiometer pathfinder program in collaboration with NASA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients across various programs to develop and manage system architectures, subsystem functions, and interface requirements for quantum technology platforms, including sensors, clocks, and control systems.
  • Implement lean, standardized systems engineering practices and processes to support projects ranging from advanced technology R&D to early product development stages.
  • Partner with team members to refine and enhance our Product Lifecycle (PLC) policy and workflows, optimizing efficiency and value.
  • Ensure consistent application of systems engineering tools (e.g., Jama) and methodologies across all projects.
  • For selected key R&D projects:
    • Define the scope of internal PLC and associated deliverables.
    • Track and support the execution of tasks and deliverables throughout the PLC phases.
    • Prepare and facilitate gate reviews with project teams.
    • Provide systems engineering expertise for key projects.
    • Develop critical systems engineering documents (requirements, interface control, architecture, test plans, etc.).
    • Work with cross-functional teams to maintain system configuration and documentation.
