The field of robotics is rapidly transitioning from research to real-world applications across factories, warehouses, vehicles, and outdoor environments. When robots encounter failures, exhibit unexpected behaviors, or require enhancements, engineers depend on data to uncover the underlying issues.

At Foxglove, we are at the forefront of developing observability, visualization, and data infrastructure that enables this critical analysis. Our innovative tools are utilized by robotics and autonomous systems teams to effectively ingest, store, query, replay, and analyze vast amounts of multimodal sensor data from active systems and production fleets.

Recognizing that data is crucial for physical AI, we seek to enhance our Data Platform, transforming it from a passive data lake into a dynamic engine for dataset creation, discovery, and automated evaluation.

In this pivotal role, you will steer Foxglove's largest investment area for 2026, taking charge of evolving the Data Platform into a standalone, high-velocity product line. Your focus will extend beyond mere storage, aiming to establish sophisticated workflows that encompass all phases of research, development, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the Data Strategy & Roadmap: Define the platform's evolution to capitalize on opportunities in data management, discovery, curation, and evaluation.

  • Drive Technical Innovation: Collaborate with our Search and Curation engineering teams to create advanced data layers tailored to the intricate demands of real-world operations.

  • Enhance Product-Market Fit: Shift the product from being merely a visualization tool to a core value proposition for Foxglove. Lead design partnerships with key customers to develop and validate new functionalities before they are widely released.

  • Commercialize Consumption: Partner with GTM to refine and execute a product-led growth strategy that aligns with customer value creation and integrates into Enterprise sales.
