The Staff Nurse - Regional Supplemental Staffing II helps deliver patient care across multiple Luminis Health locations in Annapolis, MD and Lanham, MD. This position supports quality and cost-effective healthcare by working with different teams at various sites, stepping in where needed. Nurses in this role use their clinical experience to improve patient outcomes and support team goals.

What you will do

  • Use strong clinical nursing skills tailored to the needs of assigned units.
  • Apply the nursing process to care for a wide range of patients, following all relevant laws, policies, standards, and evidence-based guidelines.
  • Adjust and prioritize care activities as patient conditions and assessments change.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to gather information and identify learning needs.
  • Create individualized care plans based on systematic analysis of assessment data.
  • Carry out care plans efficiently and in line with established protocols.
  • Administer medications, manage pain, and perform clinical skills specific to each unit.
  • Monitor and evaluate care plans, making changes as needed based on patient responses.

Patient and family relationships

  • Assess learning needs, readiness, and possible barriers for patients and their families.
  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate teaching plans that fit the patient population and specialty.
  • Incorporate knowledge of growth and development throughout the lifespan into patient care.
  • Provide care that is culturally, developmentally, and ethically appropriate.
