The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in acoustic engineering, particularly in aerospace applications. Key qualifications include:Expertise in acoustic and aeroacoustic modeling of spacecraft systems and environmentsAbility to identify and analyze noise sources such as pumps, fans, compressors, and fluid systemsExperience with sound propagation analysis within pressurized spacecraft modulesDevelopment of predictive models for cabin acoustic levels and sound distributionConducting computational aeroacoustic analysis for fluid-driven noise sourcesSetting acoustic requirements and performance targets for spacecraft subsystemsLeading design teams in formulating noise mitigation strategiesConducting acoustic testing and data analysis to inform design improvementsCollaboration with various teams to enhance acoustic performance across the station

We are currently seeking a Staff Acoustic Engineer, who will report directly to the Director of Life Support Systems. This role is vital in the design and construction of artificial-gravity, human-rated space stations.

This is a full-time, exempt position based in our Long Beach facility.
